Who We Are

The Arts Center of Brazos Valley serves Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties, supporting art in their communities. We are a non-profit organization chartered in 1970 by a group of local arts patrons, established to lead local arts advocacy and cultivate a vibrant arts community. Over 50 years later, The Arts Center now serves the 5,000 square mile Brazos Valley region. Since 2008, it has provided over $4,000,000 in direct funding to support arts organizations throughout the area. Governed by a board of community leaders, The Arts Center provides innovative and impactful artistic opportunities for both residents and visitors to the region.

Our Mission

For over 50 years, the Arts Center has been dedicated to making the arts accessible for all residents and visitors to the Brazos Valley. Through funding, promotion, advocacy, classes, and partnership programs, we support more than 45 affiliate arts, culture, and heritage organizations, regional artists, and creative groups. Our reach extends to over 370,000 residents across seven counties, including Texas A&M University and Blinn College, and to more than 3.5 million annual visitors to the Brazos Valley.

The Arts Center Board of Directors provides visionary leadership in the arts by maintaining and strengthening the presence of arts and culture in our community, improving the quality of life in the Brazos Valley.
